SNEAK PEEK:
In September we will be hosting a
benefit for the exotic animal rescue
organization:
Monkeys and More
Check back on this website with us and we
will announce the date of this event here as
soon as we know for sure when it will be.
Ed and Annette will be on hand to let you
visit a few of the animals they have rescued including
Lisa Marie, a baby chimp whose mother was
unable to care for her.
You can come visit the animals for no
charge but please, think about making a
small donation to help them continue the
great work they are doing.
Most of the animals used in the shows
were rescued animals, given to them by
people who longer wanted or worse yet, were
going to be put to sleep. Ed and Annette
do not take any animal in that they are
unable to keep for the duration of their
natural life. They are currently looking
for a bigger facility so that they can take
in more animals.
We
at ED AND ANNETTE'S MONKEYS & MORE,
understand the concerns many people have
regarding the safety of the animals around
their children. Ed and Annette have been
working together with animals and children
for thirteen years and can understand your
concern, but all the animals participating
in the shows are animals that are used to
being around people and being petted. Ed
and Annette handle the animals the whole
time, never letting a child hold or pet the
animal without their help. With ED AND
ANNETTE'S MONKEYS & MORE, you get both the
owners performing the shows and handling the
animals. You are not getting some young
person who may not understand the animals
or how to handle children. We are licensed
and insured and all of our animals are
checked regularly by our vet. We want to
make this a great experience for you and
your child and if there are any concerns or
fears you may have, please feel free to
contact us with these concerns and we'll
try and address them right away. We also
want to stress to you, that these animals
were all rescued animals and are not circus
animals. We do not train our animals to do
tricks, we don't believe in it. We feel
because we do not use this approach, that
the animals look at people as something good
and not something that wants to hurt them.
