FEBRUARY 10. 2009 THE CONSUMER
PRODUCT SAFETY IMPROVEMENT ACT OF 2008
(CPSIA) WENT INTO
EFFECT.
This law
requires that all items designed for
use by children 12 and under meet
the lead and phthalate limits.
Products affected include clothing,
toys and books. This means
that we will be accepting fewer
children's items for resale.

We are now accepting teen / young
adult clothing, women's clothing and
shoes in all sizes for consignment.
Purses and other accessories also
being accepted. All items
should be less than 3 years old, in
current style and show no visible
signs of wear. We will allow
you to drop in without an
appointment for these sizes if you
have 20 or fewer items. Just
make sure you bring them in a
container that is clearly labeled
with your name and contact
information. We will review
them for acceptance within 48 hours
and you must pick up any unaccepted
items within 7 days of drop-off.
If you have more than 20 items,
please call for an appointment.

Recycle Shopping Bags
If you're like me, you want to reuse
shopping bags but often forget to
bring them with you when you shop.
So we're now offering a recycling
program for shopping bags! If
you have nice bags that are still
usable, bring them to the store and
put them in our basket by the
counter. Then, when you come
the store you can help yourself to
any of the bags in that basket to
take home what you purchased.
If this honor system works, we'll
always have a good supply of bags
for those who wish to do so.
Don't forget to bring in your extra
bags for people to use! If
they are sturdy bags made of plastic
or fabric, you may even earn store
credit for bringing them in.
Help reduce the amount of disposable
bags used.
